    Need Aftershave Advice

I tend to get razor burns & irritation after shaving. Anyone have good recommendations for after shaves that have soothing properties? Thanks!

Are you looking for an after shave splash or balm?

    Try changing where you shave

I have that same problem and have to shower first before I shave. Then I use glycerin and rosewater as a preshave.

Splash aftershaves have alcohol, balms are alcohol free.

Some people gotta have the burn!

If you want to get more detail on the differences, look at this blog post we made: http://www.luxurybarber.com/blog/alc...e-aftershaves/

Thanks... I prefer no alc cause it dries me out a lot.

I find that a balm is best for soothing. Pre de Provence has one that has shea butter in it & leaves my skin feeling moisturized. http://www.luxurybarber.com/pre-de-p...ftershave-balm

Thanks for the suggestion. Checked out the ingredients and it seems perfect. Much appreciated.

How's your shave prep and actual shave though? If you're getting razor burn and irritation, you might need to take a look earlier in the process to find a solution for your problem.
